The Barn Nursery is situated in Over Wallop, near Andover and Stockbridge. We spend each session in a dedicated play barn in one acre of beautiful garden. Our primary aim is to provide a home-from-home environment for pre-school children (from around 22 months old and confident walkers) in a small, cosy and stimulating setting.
We are really busy at The Barn Nursery! We indulge in all sorts of activities such as singing and dancing, really messy art and craft, collecting eggs from our crazy chickens and, most importantly, lots of playing in the garden.
Groups are small, with a maximum of 6 children (with current OFSTED ratios) per session. We are always open for a visit if you want to pop in and see us all in action, and we love visitors and making them feel welcome.
At The Barn Nursery we encourage children to find the confidence for independent play, with gentle routines put in place and lots of opportunity to socialise with other children. Whether its dressing up, making play-dough pizzas or singing our favourite dinosaur song, there is always plenty going on to keep your child happy, interested and stimulated. This is the perfect first nursery experience and provides a great stepping stone for Pre-school or Kindergarten.
We are open during term time only and sessions sessions vary in length and some children stay for a packed lunch. The Barn Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, setting standards for learning, development and care for children and observations of the children are recorded on a daily basis.
